PARACHUTE SCHOOL H.A.

The Parachute School of the Hellenic Armed Forces was founded on March 12, 1955, at the initiative of General Andreas Kallinskis, First Commander of the Raider Forces (1947-1956). The mission of the Parachute School is to train the soldiers in parachutism and self-defense. The Parachute School often participates in international activities, while representing Greece and the Hellenic Armed Forces in international parachute competitions.

In particular, the School consists of the following training departments:

1. Basic Parachute Training
2. Basic Freefall Training
3. School of Advanced Training in Freefall
4. Commanders of Static Line Jump and Freefall
5. Scout Training School
6. Extreme Heights Freefall Training
7. Static Line and Freefall Parachute Maintenance and Support Training
8. Static Line and Freefall Parachute Stackers and Repairers Training
9. School of Self-Defense
